Education: Graduated from the Engineering Department, Hokkaido
     University, March 31 1966; Completed the Doctoral Program   of
     Engineering Department, Hokkaido University, March 31  1971.
0ccupation: Lecturer at lwate University since April,  1971;
     Associate Professor at lwate University since July, 1974;
     Professor at lwate University since September, l983.
Degree: Doctor of Engineering (March 25, 1971)
0ther Affiliations: Member of Japan Society of Civil Engineering;
     Member of Architectural lnstitute of Japan;
     Member of Japan Society for Computationa1 Methods in Engineering.
Experience: Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
     in Federa1 Republic of Germany from 0ctober, 1981 to September,
     1982.
