The Study of Strength and Stiffness of the Vulcanized Machine's Cross Member Wei hua ABSTRACT In this paper, by using the combined method of numerical calculation and the model test, analysis of strength and stiffness in the cross member of vulcanized machine which is recently designed by Shen Yang Rubber Machine Factory under critical conditions are performed in detail. In the course of using vulcanized machine, it is an outstanding problem that tires come into being useless edge, urgently requires resonable calculated method to guide design and production, This paper is center on this problem. By using FEA software ALGOR analyzes strength and stiffness of the cross member under many kinds of forms, and using model test to test and verify the calculated results of finite element. By means of analyzing the results of calculation and experiment, we obtain a result that the strength and stiffness of cross member is reasonable. As the same time, from the analyzing and comparing of diverses schemes we get a conclusion: it is more resonable by using membrane element than plate element to analyze the cross member by using finite element. This paper solve the practical engineering problem, and search for a way of numerical calculation and experiment to solve the problem. At present, reference about this direction is little, domestic study is especia1ly little. Therefore, we not only solve the practical engineering problem, gain economic benefits, but also provide valuable reference for researching the similar problem in the future.
