地上のスペースが少なくなったことから、地下に空間を作った。そして、その空間には
ガス管、上水、下水、地下鉄、遊歩道、駐車場、電気、通信ケーブルなどが作られた。
これから地下空間の作り方について説明する。地下空間の作り方には開削工法と
トンネル工法がある。
開削工法について説明する。この方法は、最初に壁を作り、地表から土砂を取り除き、
地下空間を作る方法である。これの問題点は掘削すると土が崩れることである。
これを防ぐために、土留め壁を作る。この土留め壁の種類には、親杭横矢板壁、
シートパイル、地中連続壁等がある。また、土留め壁を支えるためにグランドアンカー
法などを利用している。
次に、トンネル工法について説明する。この方法は、垂直に穴を掘り、作業場を作り,
水平方向に掘削する方法である。問題点はトンネル空間に土が移動して押しつぶす
ことである。これの解決法として、薬液注入によって土を固める方法がある。
また、トンネル工法の一種には山岳工法やシールド工法等がある。
どちらの工法も長所と短所があり、状況に応じて利用されている。

Because there became little ground space, we made air space underground.
And we made a gas pipe, a water supply, sewage, a subway, a promenade, 
a parking lot, electricity, a communications cable  in the space. 
There are open cut method and the tunnel industrial method in how to make of 
an underground.
I explain about the open cut method . This method is the method which a wall 
first and removes the earth and sand from the surface of the earth and makes 
an underground. This problem is to collapse soil by digging. They make a soil
detainment wall to prevent this.　there are parent stake side arrow boarded 
wall,sheet pile,underground continuation wall in a kind of this soil 
detainment wall. And, they make use of such as ground  method to support 
the soil detainment wall.
Next,I explain about the tunnel industrial method. This method is to first 
digs up the hole,make a workshop and digs a tunnel horizontally afterward.
This problem is that soil moves to tunnel air space and crushes it.
As a solution of this, there is a method to harden soil by medicinal solution 
injection. And, There are mountains industrial method or shield tunneling 
method as a kind of  the tunnel industrial method.
As both methods of construction have good and bad points, they are used 
depending on the situation.






今回は地下空間の利用について学んだ。
地下空間は、主に上水道、下水道、ガス、地下鉄、地下街などに利用されている。
地下空間の作り方には、開削工法とトンネル工法の二つがある。
開削工法は、土崩れを防ぐために土留め壁を入れ、穴を掘っていく。
トンネル工法は、まず垂直に穴を掘り、その後水平方向にトンネルを掘っていく。
トンネルの壁面は分割して作り、地下で連結する。
地下に人間が生活できるような空間を作ろうという考えがあがっている。
地下空間を有効利用することで、人々の生活が変わっていくかもしれない。

I learnt the use of an underground space. 
An underground space is chiefly used for waterworks, drainage, the gas, the 
subway, and the underground shopping center, etc.
In how to make an underground space, there are two (the open cut method and 
the tunnel industrial method). 
The open cut method puts the soil detainment wall to prevent the soil 
crumble, and digs up the hole. 
The tunnel industrial method vertically first digs up the hole and digs a 
tunnel horizontally afterwards. 
Walls of the tunnel are made by dividing, and connected underground. 
There is an idea said that it will make the space where man can live under the 
soil. 
People's lives might change because it effectively uses an underground 
space.
