私たちが今なにげなく使っているビデオ、それはどのようにして開発されたのだろう。
開発したのはVictor、事業部長の名は高野鎮雄である。
　高野は本社に極秘で、家庭用VTRの開発を行った。そして、梅田と太田という二人の
若手技術者によって、Sonyのβをも凌ぐVHSが開発された。その間、物事が楽に運んだ
わけではない。あるとき、２７０人いた従業員を３割リストラするように命じられたが、経理
部長だった大曽根になんとかごまかしてくれるようにと頼んだ。当時を振り返って大曽根氏
はこう言った。「確かに、つらいこともあったが、高野さんの熱意におされた。みんなで夢を
追いかけた、あんな幸せなことはない。」
　

Do you know how did video develop? It developped by Victor -the name of manager was
Sizuo Takano.

Takano start developping VTR in strict secrecy. Umeda and Oota made an effort ,then
VHS which surpasses β of Sony was developped. Before they reached there, various
difficulties happened to them. For example, Takano was ordered to fire 33% of his men.
He asked Oosone who is accounts manager to evade. As look back on old days, Oosone
said that It was bitter but happy days. I was moved Takano's eagerness! We all did for
the dream.



>今回の講義では「家庭用VHSデッキの開発」という題目のVTRを見ました。そのVHSの大
